Fun in the Snow!

We had our first BIG snow last week - around 10 inches! Reese enjoyed playing in the "no" as she calls it (although 10 inches is a bit too high for her to walk in - she needed daddy to help her out). Also, we tried to take pictures for our Christmas cards....it didn't go so well. An advanced apology to those of you who will receive one. I think the video below captures the experience well.

Even doggie liked the snow!

She did eventually let me put gloves on her....

Our Little Ladybug

For Halloween this year, Reese was a ladybug (thanks to some hand-me-downs from Aunt Robin). She wan't so excited about the costume, but loved running around outside. She was supposed to help me hand out candy but she kept taking off down the street! Since our street gets about 5 trick-or-treaters our neighbors kept running out and giving us candy, cookies, and animal crackers!

While Therese was not impressed with having to wear her costume for Halloween, she has since decided that she LOVES being a ladybug and insists on wearing the costume at odd times, especially when reading her book about ladybugs....silly girl...

Happy Halloween?

I'm Learning So Much!

Therese is learning so much right now! She learns at least one new word a day and loves to try to learn her letters and to play cook. Our favorite new words are triangle ("gigangle"), goat ("gogo"), and heavy ("heaby"). She also has started pointing to her cousins from Kentucky on the refrigerator. One night I walked in and she was pointing to the fridge saying, "Kyee, Kyee". She saw her cousin Kylie and wanted to say hi! She also likes to pretend like she is calling Abbey from her play kitchen phone. She likes to push the buttons a lot - maybe she know Abbey prefers to text. Therese has been very attached to mommy lately...hopefully this is a short phase!

Reese, where are you?

Therese loves to cook with spices!
I understand she gets this from her daddy who used to play in the refrigerator too

August Adventures

August was a busy month! Therese had her first hair cut, watched a lot of Olympics (she LOVED the swimming and diving events - mostly because of the water and the clapping), and learned how to climb on EVERYTHING - unfortunately, we're still learning how to stop her!

I keep telling her that Michael Phelps is too old for her, but she just can't stop watching him!

Therese showing off...well, kind of
We just think it's hilarious the way she says uh oh, plus you get a little taste of our little Reese's real personality!
